Rural Leadership Boost grant for $80,000 in Spring Grove
CEDA’s Courtney helped Spring Grove in receiving a Rural Leadership Boost grant for $80,000!
Blue Earth EDA/REV/BE Welcoming was recently awarded a $20,000 Blandin Grant to further the Welcoming work in our community.
Blue Earth was also awarded the Blandin Rural Leadership Boost Grant for $20,000 to use to further the B.E. Welcoming initiative! The funds will be used to offer First Responders and other City personnel beginner Spanish classes to help them communicate better during emergencies and to ease the burden of translation on children. It will be used to translate community materials like the Community Ed booklet so that all parents understand and are informed of the opportunities available. These are just 2 ways we will use this money. They are in the last weeks of planning a Day of the Dead festival (cultural experience) and they will use this money to plan future Cultural experiences for Blue Earth! Amy (CEDA Employee) co-authored this application with the City Administrator.
