Courtney Bergey Swanson
Courtney grew up on a farm in rural Lanesboro, MN, and has 15+ years of experience in grant proposal writing, public engagement, and economic development, all within the context of rural communities. Courtney is especially passionate about entrepreneurship and community development projects focused on place-based design. Her work has been recognized by the Bush Foundation, Blandin Foundation, ArtPlace America, Minnesota Main Streets, and other regional and national organizations.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College and is an alum of the Minnesota Young American Leaders Program. Courtney lives in Rochester, MN, with her husband and children; when she isn't working, she loves to garden, cook new recipes, and dabble in the fiber arts.
